With our realtor’s help we had been looking for a home to buy on James Island and had narrowed our search to a couple of attractive older homes that met our criteria. We had just seen the two final contenders one last time before making a decision when, done for the day, we drove by three homes for sale that the Rooke Company had recently built and that happened to be open for viewing. As we had the time on a Sunday afternoon, we thought, “Why not stop and look at these just to see what they’re like?” We were impressed. Outstanding care for design, materials, and craftsmanship was immediately evident as we toured each of the three homes. After a couple of days pondering the decision, we decided that one of the new Rooke homes represented a better value for our investment and a more enjoyable living space than our earlier “contenders.” We made an offer, bought the home, and have not regretted our decision. As an added and unexpected bonus, Mr. Rooke proved more than willing to answer questions and help us resolve minor issues with the property several weeks after the closing.
