ABOUT THE ROOKE COMPANY
The original Rooke custom home builder. The Rooke family has been building custom homes in James Island, Ravenell, Hollywood, Goose Creek, West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, Johns Island, North Charleston, Summerville, Ridgeville, and Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina for three generations.
The Rooke Company LLC began in 1999 and has since produced just under 250 quality built homes in that time. Due to his over 30 years of actual field knowledge, Mr. Rooke is usually able to spot any discrepancies very early on, as you will see he is an extremely “hands-on” builder as opposed to some of his counterparts. It is not uncommon to show up to the job and find Mr. Rooke helping with many of the jobs that his subcontractors have been hired to complete. Mr. Rooke is bilingual and can communicate with all of his contractors no matter where their country of origin may be.
Dustin Rooke is one of the last of a dying breed. The contractors that instead of standing on the sidelines and telling his contractors what to do. Rather standing WITH them shoulder to shoulder and explaining to them with his tools and showing them first hand. During the almost 13 years with HA Rooke Properties, Mr. Rooke learned that no-one worked for him. But rather with him as cogs in a wheel. One depending on the other ensuring a smooth operation.
Thanks to his extensive career in the field, Mr. Rooke can recognize a true artisan in each of their given fields as he interviews his subcontractors. All contractors are fully insured and bonded. Also from his long-standing career, he has managed to formulate many very lucrative relationships with local subcontractors, realtors, architects, engineers, and surveyors creating a “dream team” of the many people it takes to construct these homes.
We hold our employees in the highest of esteem, as without them and their efforts, we wouldn’t able to do the things that we can. Some of the contractors have been with The Rooke Company since its conception in 1999.
Construction is what we live for, but more importantly, we love working people. Customer service is key, Mr. Rooke was taught long ago that when you receive the keys at the closing is not when you find out the true merit of your builder, but rather when an issue comes up. And how quickly he responds, and the rectification is made is when you find out the quality of your builder.
The Rooke Company has had the honor of building multiple homes for families that have had good experiences with the comfort level of the process. The Rooke company LLC is a turnkey outfit. From raw land to a finished product The Rooke Company handles everything. The Rooke Family owns the rights to thousands of stock plans, and also has relationships with many Architects should there be a need for modification. We specialize in conceptual plans that are brought to life from a customer’s vision. Working with our team of engineers, land planners, and architects the sky is the limit. Whether your land has public water and sewer facilities, or we have to engineer wastewater and potable water systems, the Rooke Company has you covered with the newest cutting edge and state of the art products available.
Sometimes projects require behind the scenes work such as community meetings, City council meetings, and HOA requirements.
